Controller
Development of Remote Sensing walker
This controller is
combination of PIC circuit, motor drive circuit, RF receiver circuit and
photoelectric sensor circuit. The main purpose of this controller is it can
control the rotational of DC motor which must be able to change the current
flow that being supplied to the motor. This controller uses two different power
supplies which are to supply the voltage to the PIC circuit and the second one
is for motor supply. The PIC circuit power supply is 10VDC (1000mA) and the
motor supply is 12VDC (4A). This battery could hold out long in 10 hours.
The method of
controlling the motor direction of rotation in this particular driver is by
controlling the grounding of the motor. The direction of motor can be
controlled either using by hand switch at the walker or remote control which
the distance of remote control with the walker is five meter. Once there is
signal from the hand switch or remote control, the PIC circuit will trigger to
give the signal to the transistor. Once the transistors received the signal
from the PIC and the relay has been triggered, it will supply the grounding
signal from the different power source to the motor and cause the rotations in
any direction.
Procedures to Develop the Controller Circuit
Using the strip board, the electronic component can be placed on the board.
The component had been compiled on the strip
board will solder by using the
soldering iron.
After all components have been soldered, cut
the strip board so, there is no short circuit between components.
The strip board would be checked by using
multimeter so that the short circuit could not happened after that circuit will
be tested by using battery.
